Partner Spotlight: Stephen Petrucci

A full-service builder, Bella Homes has a progressive focus on eco-luxury initiatives for residential sale and rental communities. Stephen says, “We create beautiful custom homes in South Florida, primarily building in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and Ocean Ridge. By implementing green building practices, the latest smart home technology, and quality finishes, we minimize our impact on the environment and ensure our homeowners enjoy an eco-friendly, luxury home that’s built to last.”
POST-COVID MARKET
There is huge demand for custom home builds and even more so for eco-friendly homes as consumer demand shifts focus to holistic lifestyle. This rising trend has accelerated in a post-covid world. Clients seek homes they can live, work and play in.
In a post-covid marketplace, consumers want personalized homes with a sustainable design that create an atmosphere of wellness. The demand is for electric car charging stations, green space, flex rooms, solar power, use of recycled materials, smart technology, and high-end eco-luxury finishes.
Stephen explains, “At Bella Homes, we believe in reducing our impact on the environment, so we utilize green building methods across the board to ensure we and our homeowners have a smaller carbon footprint.” Stephen continues, “I like to be personal, on top of the jobs, and the client really respects that – especially when they see that the actual builder is on a jobsite every day.”
CLIENT FOCUS
There is a large demand for custom homes in the Palm Beach County market and even more so for eco-luxury builds. The company consistently has between six to twelve upcoming projects, with new developments available to top producers at a pre-market level.
“We’re constantly updating our website to keep our partners up to date with every project, including realistic renderings, construction progress footage, and detailed brochures that notate the features and specs of each home,” says Stephen.
Stephen loves the challenge of collaborating with his creative team and contractors to consistently bring innovative designs to the custom home market.
Stephen explains, “Without a doubt, my greatest sense of fulfillment is bringing the client into their new Bella Home and seeing their reaction. Being able to work with the client and bring their wants and needs into reality is an amazing experience. I feel a great sense of pride seeing the flow of the design and level of quality in the finished product.”
Working with clients on every detail of the home, Bella customizes the build to match the client’s vision from architectural design to interior design. It’s about creating a home that supports the client’s lifestyle and that process starts with a conversation and getting to know the client.
A full-service company, Bella Homes in-house interior design team works directly with the client in putting together the look and feel of the home from concept to completion. The design is not complete until the house is completely furnished. Having direct access to a full-service design team streamlines the entire process for the client. Bella also recently opened a showroom in Delray Beach.
BOOMING MARKET
Over the past several years, Florida’s real estate market has exploded. Stephen has seen a mass exodus of people from across the country moving to Florida, not as snowbirds but as permanent residents who are bringing their families and businesses with them. Palm Beach County has grown into a thriving metropolis and cultural center.
“I’m thrilled to see that Florida is one of the hottest destinations for new homeowners,” Stephen says.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
With decades of experience, Stephen built his career from the ground up. Starting young, right out of college, he entered the real estate industry. Stephen focuses on understanding the client and what he or she wants and needs in a new home.
Born and raised in New York, Stephen moved to Florida in the ‘90s and has lived here ever since. He comments, “My background studying Real Estate and Finance at Florida State University allowed for an easy transition into the world of real estate, starting on the financial side and quickly moving on to build custom homes.”
FAMILY FOCUSED
Happily married since 2005, Stephen has two daughters and son, a 7-year-old, 9-year-old, and 13-year-old.
“Family is the most important aspect of my life, so we treat every Sunday as a family day that’s dedicated to spending time together. If and when we can, we love going on family vacations as much as possible,” says Stephen.
When he’s not working, Stephen loves making time to catch up with friends and business partners. He will also spend his days off enjoying the beautiful Florida weather by playing golf or heading to the beach.
“To me, success lives in the team you surround yourself with,” says Stephen. “It’s impossible to do everything yourself, so working with amazing people on a day-to-day basis allows me to go home and have that reward of spending time with my family. I truly enjoy being surrounded by an incredible team and working together to bring our vision to life. You can’t be just one person, you have to build a team around it – that’s success.”
In closing, Stephen says, “I want to be remembered for having a quality, amazing product. I’m proud to play a role in changing the landscape of South Florida. Driving down streets and seeing houses I’ve built is a really exciting thing, so to have people drive through South Florida and see all the different Bella Homes and communities – that’s what I want to be remembered for.”
